The Stuffed Animal Snowballs

After getting the book Softies by Therese Laskey (highly recommended) my window to the world of stuffed animal making was broadened. I learned valuable stitches, and got some ideas. This animal above is my attempt at a teddy bear. Since normal teddy bears are highly constructed and involves a lot of different pieces. I didn't try to take more than I could swallow, so this is my flattened version of a teddy bear, known as Potato.

Stuffed animal making was a huge phase for me. When making this one I wanted to get slightly more elaborate. I went crazy with the pockets. There is a fancy front pocket bejeweled with small glass beads, and two ear pockets (used for stashing candy).
